Though it’s only a little over six months since the new Daffodil Line Bus service started running back in April we are already busy planning for year two. Before we commit to another year of bus service, and ask councils for a little financial support towards that, we need to take a closer look at how things are going so far.
New 232 Daffodil Line timetable which comes into operation from 2nd July 2023. The timetable has only minor changes, and still offers a service every 2 hours between Ross-on-Wye, Newent and Ledbury, 7 days a week, including Friday and Saturday evenings. The small adjustments made should ensure more reliability and better punctuality.
The new 232 Daffodil Line has many things going for it, but so far perfect punctuality hasn’t been one of them. If you’re wondering why the bus is so often late and what we are planning to do to fix that, read on.

We’d like to say a huge “Thank You” to everyone who made our first day on the Daffodil Line so much fun, and to everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen. Support from all the communities along the line was outstanding, And when the 10.55 left Newent for ross we were standing room only.
We are equal parts excited and nervous now that we are finally at launch day for the 232 Daffodil Line. Sunday 2nd of April is Daffodil Line Day and we hope that you will be able to join the mayors of our towns in sending the bus off on its first day.

Just because we now have a start date of 2nd of April for the Daffodil Line doesn’t mean the fundraising stops – far from it. Like any good parents, we have to make sure our “new arrival” has all the support it needs to thrive. So we’re very thankful for a pledge of support from Newent’s new foodie destination, the Wye Inn.
We are delighted to announce that the contract for operation of the new 232 Daffodil Line bus service has been awarded to local operator DRM Bus and the new service will start on Sunday 2nd April.
We are now in the final stages of our Start-Up fundraising for the new 232 Daffodil Line bus service between Ross-on-Wye, Newent, and Ledbury, and we hope to have the service on the road in time for Easter. Ross Town Council will be deciding on whether to support our new bus service on Monday 10th October at 7pm at the Corn Exchange in the town centre. There is an opportunity for the public to speak at the start of the meeting and, as this is a big decision and quite an unusual one … Read more

Buses4Us is a community action group working for better public transport in North Gloucestershire and South Herefordshire. Currently, we are working to reinstate regular bus services between the neighbouring towns of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye and Newent, and the villages in between.
